Welcome to CF Shops at Don Mills
From fashion to food, I’m always looking for hidden gems right at home. You can often find me checking out a new gelato joint or shopping at indie boutiques… and all of that is right here, at the Shops at Don Mills.
My name is Natalie and I’m a law student and blogger. I like to think that my life is a balance of work and play and I’m approaching a time in my life where I’m excited to put down some roots in a community, and I think I’ve found that in the Don Mills neighbourhood.
I love that I can go for a walk with my dog Rosie through Edwards Gardens, or go hiking through the trails leading to Sunnybrook Park and the Don River park networks. For a bit of culture, the Aga Khan Museum is right next door, while the Don Mills branch of the Toronto Public Library is a great place to pick up a summer read.
If I’m craving to go downtown, the DVP is a couple minutes away, while I can also easily access the 401 and leave town for a weekend up north at the cottage. Transit options are abundant, with the Sheppard Line subway to the north, and Don Mills and Lawrence bus routes easily accessible. Don Mills is literally at the centre of it all, and represents the perfect balance of a suburban community and downtownpedestrian convenience.
Every time I visit the CF Shops at Don Mills, I find something new. I love that I can access brand name stores like Aritzia, Anthropologie and Banana Republic, but the independent boutiques make it a destination for me. Oak + Fort is my goto for minimalist fashion, while my boyfriend loves to check out Frank & Oak for unique menswear pieces that don’t break the bank. After an afternoon of shopping, a stop at Linda Modern Thai is a must, and it’s also likely followed by a coffee at Aroma… and sometimes gelato too. If I’m planning on making dinner, I’ll also stop by McEwan and the LCBO to get ingredients for my boyfriend’s famous pasta. I’ve accomplished all this without ever leaving the location. This convenienceof having everything you need in one place is what makes CF Shops at Don Mills a great place to live and play.
